If you already have eligible Sinopé smart thermostats installed in your home, we need your help. We’re looking for customers to join the Flex Smart program to help transition to a clean energy future.

How the program works
During the heating season, all residents consume energy simultaneously, leading to energy peaks and overloading the power grid. To fulfill energy demand during these periods, electricity providers face the need to rely on alternative energy sources that are both pricier and less ecologically friendly.
Puget Sound Energy has introduced Flex Smart, a program aimed at promoting the use of smart technology among residents to optimize energy distribution, alleviate pressure on the grid, and address the increasing energy demands in a sustainable manner. Flex Smart works with Éco Sinopé and the Sinopé smart thermostats to automatically lower the energy demand during peak events, offering participants the chance to receive a reward for their contribution.

Who can qualify?
To qualify for the Flex Smart program, customers must:
- Be a PSE residential customer
- Have baseboard heaters
- Have qualifying equipment
How to apply?
The Neviweb app makes enrolling your devices for the Flex Smart program easy and helps reduce electricity usage during these events.
Access your Neviweb account and click on the Éco Sinopé tile
Choose Flex Smart, complete the required information, and review and accept the program’s terms and conditions.
Select your profile and make customizations if needed.
What to expect during a flex event
A few things you’ll want to know about these events are:
• Simply sign up for the program using the Neviweb app and select your profile. Based on your choices, we will remotely adjust the temperature setpoint of your Sinopé devices for a few hours during the flex events.
• Flex events can occur on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., between November 1st to March 31st. It will never take place on federal holidays.
• Before a flex event, you will receive a notification on your smartphone and the Neviweb app notifying you of the upcoming event. When an event is in progress, the thermostat screen and the Neviweb app will display the « éco » logo, indicating that the device is actively participating.
• You can opt out of an event at any time by clicking any button on your devices.
• You will have full override control of the device at all times. The Flex Smart program will never lock your thermostats.
